I look forward to Dave Jackson’s lessons on podcasting

I’ve been hosting my show, Big Lash Energy, for 3.5 years and I studied podcasting for one year before ever pressing record. Of course I started by listening to any and every piece of advice, but eventually, Dave Jackson’s show floated to the top as the most trusted space to learn about creation and monetization of podcast content. Then, I met him in person at a few events and realized his passion for the craft is completely authentic. I am thankful I stumbled upon this show years ago and stay a fan! Thanks, Dave!

Dave has been in podcasting like forever. So he knows his stuff. His show is probably one of the biggest shows on podcasting. And it’s still going strong today. Highly recommend listening to this show if you have a podcast.

Recently started listening to Dave’s show and I am learning a ton about the podcast space. He does a great job mixing things up to keep it entertaining.

Just discovered this podcast and am binging now. I generally don't listen to shows geared toward podcast hosts because I'm a booking agent...I don't have a show. However, I am glad I decided to give this show a listen because I'm learning so much more about the industry and from a Podcast Hall of Famer no less so who better to listen to, right?I love Dave's humor and authenticity. His credibility and trustworthiness makes this a podcast I will continue to listen to and suggest to everyone who is or is considering being in the podcasting space! Put this one reverse play so you can catch the many past episodes...you'll learn so much from a master and in an enjoyable way!

Your recent episode on Podpage Elite got me to upgrade from Pro. Worked with the SEO feature last night and corrected all my shows. Most had 4 or 5 warnings and 3 or so fails. Now, they’re all perfect. Definitely worth a 5 star review and a follow. Thanks!!

Growing up in California during the heyday of glam rock, trash metal and west coast rap there were these certain types of folks who put on seminars to “teach” aspiring musicians how to “make it in the music business.” The focus was getting signed to a record label and becoming a famous rockstar — “monetizing” your band. Dave Jackson reminds me of one of those guys now doing the same thing with podcasters and the School of Podcasting. Lots of killer information if you want to follow the crowd of podcasters who came before you. I listen to it for what NOT to do next.There is one bit of cringe in the beginning that is so 🤮 it tinges the rest of my impression of Dave for the rest of each episode. Mind you, I DO listen to each episode. It’s well-produced. Great sound. Tight editing. But … in the beginning. When Dave says “Hit it, ladies!” … I just can’t. He couldn’t have just said “Hit it!?” This is so much like Mitt Romney’s “Binders full of women” it’s hilarious. Like, Dave has a harem of backup singers he allows to sing for him once a week, then back in the box?Still, five stars because I’m not a complete animal.

Have a podcast? Want to be great at it? You MUST listen to this podcast! I listen over and over again. He gives so much value and concrete guidance, and I cannot wait until I can give back for all he helps me / us with. Thanks Dave!!

I went to Podcast Movement 2021 in Nashville and met Dave at the Libsyn booth. I didn’t know he was the host of the School of Podcasting at that time. Dave and the group I was with later ironically had lunch together due to some mutual connections. It was then I found out about Dave’s School of Podcasting show. I am so thrilled I found this show. I’ve been podcasting now for around 7 months and am loving it and learning a great deal as I go. Having found Dave’s show and listening to the content has been extremely valuable to me.I’m considering joining his online group to continuing the learning with like-minded individuals.Thank you Dave for the great content you produce and the serendipitous meeting we had at the booth and over lunch. I’ve been listening to Dave Jackson’s podcasts from the very beginning. Yes, the VERY start of his podcasting experience. I remember the launch of the School of Podcasting. The beauty of this launch was not that it started the era of quality podcast coaching, but that it came AFTER Dave had already jumped through many of the hoops, failed at many approaches, and discovered many of the best practices of podcasting. Dave has done a number of shows through the years. When he offers an approach, it’s because he’s become adept at that offering. When he recommends a service (or suggests you should avoid it) it’s because he has used it and tried everything possible to break it or to take best advantage of it.Dave’s School of Podcasting is the real deal. He deserves every accolade he receives, including his Podcast Hall of Fame award. Listen to the School of Podcasting — whether you are just getting started — or when you are a veteran podcaster hoping to keep up with the best practices of podcasting.
